People come to therapy for many reasons; some for personal growth, others experience low mood that may be a sign of depression, some want to improve relationships or manage stress. Whatever the reason, Ray approaches therapy as a way for individuals to understand their situation and develop healthy lives and a sense of well-being. Ray’s therapeutic approach is collaborative, working with you to establish a safe setting for you to explore your strengths and reach your goals.
While there are a variety of psychotherapy approaches; Ray draws upon skills and strategies from cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, and clinical hypnosis informed by attachment theory and the wisdom of contemplative practices.
His experience includes working with individuals who would like to improve mood, address anxiety, process trauma, move through life transitions and establish a healthy life balance. He sees therapy as a positive way to share another’s journey towards growth and healing.
Ray enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and dogs. He finds inspiration in good books, good coffee, and nature. He recharges with mindfulness practices, being outdoors and reading a good sci-fi or mystery story.
