Adaptive and Daily Functioning Evaluations
Assessing everyday skills to support independence and community access
Adaptive functioning evaluations look at everyday skills like communication, self-care, organization, and independent living. They are most commonly requested when someone is applying for state services, disability benefits, or community supports that require documentation of how daily functioning is affected. The process is simple: a structured interview and a standardized questionnaire that can be completed by the individual, a parent, or a caregiver depending on the situation.
At Riverbed Psychology, these evaluations are designed to be as easy and efficient as possible. Most are completed in about an hour, with a written report delivered within two weeks. If you are unsure whether this type of evaluation is what you need, we are happy to help you figure that out before you schedule.
